In the previous post I said I would perform research for my major project, the research was done on last Friday (25/05/2012) and this was the results.

I went to the Australian National Maritime Museum and looked at ships in particular the HMS Endevour and the James Craig Tall ship. These two ships were at the docks for exhibition and the James Craig was avaliable for on board tour.

Apart from actual ships I also looked at several of the model ships and other ship remains they had on exhibition within the museum such as the large anchor left from the wreck HMS Sirius.

*Again pictures will be posted a bit later when my internet feels image friendly of things like cannons on deck, ship models which include their structure and other things*

I also searched at the library and store at the ANMM but unfortunately could not find books with information that relate to ship structure although there was a book on rigging that goes through the ship rope work.
